2017 Preble Park Youth Program

Preble Park Youth ProgramOn your mark... get set... Ready for a fun summer full of activities that include field trips, activities and time spent with friends!!

Preble Park Youth Program runs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursdays starting at 10 a.m. on July 11 and runs through August 17. The day will run from 10 am until noon with in the Park activities. Each week is themed with a topic/ idea that we try to base arts & crafts, as well as the games around.

Fridays are filled with Field Trips to various areas in the surrounding counties. Field trips may change based on the overall population of our youth. PPYP goal is to provide a stimulating, enjoyable, nurturing atmosphere that your youth is safe in. We will go to Wonderworks the first Friday as planned.

A Hot Lunch Program is coming again to the Preble Park for any Youths age 18 and UNDER, sponsored by Cortland Catholic Charities. Lunch is served Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday at the Preble Park from Noon to 1PM. Lunches must be eaten at the park.

Family Movie Night is back!!! We will host a family movie night in July and August. Each night will be an enjoyable evening of a family movie with refreshments available. Movies usually begin at dusk and are finished by 9- 9:30. More details will follow.

Note that there a couple changes this year. Our trips to the Tully Free Library and Swimming will be on Tuesday’s this year. We will be enjoying our trips here on July 18, August 1, and August 15. We are doing this to break up the week and not to have two (2) busy days back to back. As a reminder, each youth needs a Library card to borrow materials from the library and any charges or late fees are the responsibility the guardian/parent. Movies are always due back before our books. The bus will leave the Preble Park at 1:15 p.m. and return time will depend on weather, no later than 3:45 p.m.

As always, all youth are welcome to join us. Please see the attached calendar of posted events. Also, remember that the necessary forms will need to be completed for each Youth participating in the program. These documents can be found below, or by contacting Mrs. Compton, and are available at the park any day we are in session.

The staff of PPYP is looking forward to another wonderful summer of fun with your youth!!!
